
NEET or National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test is a national level exam conducted for admission to MBBS and BDS after class 12th class. Every time more than lakhs candidates appear in it. This is the most prestigious exam in the country. It is a pen-paper mode.
NEET Eligibility
Education-
Students should have completed or appeared in class 12th with 5 subjects including English, Chemistry, Physics as compulsory subjects.
Percentage-
- General candidates – 50%
- General PwD – 45%,
- OBC/SC/ST – 45%
- OBC/SC/ST PWD – 40%
Age-
Candidates should be 17 years of age at the time.

NEET Exam Fees
- For General and OBC – Rs.1400/-
- For SC, ST/ and PH – Rs.750/-

NEET Syllabus
The NEET syllabus comprises questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology both for the 11th and 12th classes.
NEET Exam Pattern
The exam consists of MCQs from subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Zoology and Botany). There are a total of 180 questions and carry 4 marks each. There is negative marking (0.25). The duration of the exam is 3 hours.
How to Prepare for NEET?
Students should go through the basics and read NCERT books of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology of class 11th and 12th classes. Prepare well keeping in mind the pattern of exam and other criteria.
NEET Exam Centers
Students can select 3 centers based on their choices at the time of registration.
